Although it had some rust, it wasn't really all that bad. The worst part was limited to a rocker panel and a door that appears to have been replaced after an old minor accident which nailed part of the cab
and bed side. All dents were pushed out and the rusty sections were cut out and treated. New sections were welded in and treated to prevent any new rust.
All removable body panels were taken off and media blasted, including the bed. The cab was chemically and DA stripped. All panels were sprayed with Epoxy primer. Any
body work was done on top of that and then everything was sprayed with high build sandable primer. It was then blocked and sealed. The desired color is a light gold that, due to the color, was
not very opaque. To help it cover& build the color better it was first shot with a dark bronze and then the final gold.
The cab and core support bushings were compressed and were replaced with new poly pucks as the old ones were causing the cab to sit about 3/4 of an inch lower than the bed.
The truck has already won an award at it's first show.
