The 2008 5th Annual Charity, Route 66 Restorations, Inc. "Don't You Wish It Was Spring" Cruise-In was
held Sunday, March 2nd from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. The weather was awesome! We had 125 cars of all types from Ferrari's to 30's Buick's to Rat Rods, to Front Engine Dragsters. Capt. Herb from WSB AM750 attended with his Mayberry Patrol Car. We also had participation by
Dan'elle Free, Nostalgia Dragster Pilot,
and Warren Johnson, the Professor of Pro Stock.
Everyone who attended was very generous with food donations: We collected approximately 1000 canned goods and non-perishable food items for the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Your generous food and monetary donations plus the proceeds from our food sales and 50/50 Raffle will help alot of families out.
Everyone enjoyed the music, shop tours, great door prizes, contests, and games. The Hoola Hoop Contests were enjoyed by all. Firing up the 1500 HP front engine dragster was a big hit!
